Oakville Fascial Stretching & Mobility Training
1on1 Stretch Therapy
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST™) is a form of manual therapy that focuses on stretching and mobilizing the connective tissue, known as fascia that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints.
Enhance flexibility and range of motion by targeting and releasing tension within the fascia.
Alleviate chronic pain conditions by reducing tightness and pressure on sensitive areas.
Identify and correct movement patterns or postural issues that may contribute to overuse injuries or strains.
Gentle stretching with controlled breathing promotes a sense of well-being and relaxation.
Increased flexibility and better joint mobility leads to improved agility, reduced risk of injury, and enhanced athletic ability.
Correct poor posture by releasing tension in the fascia that may be contributing to postural problems.
Increased blood flow and circulation in the body facilitates the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscles and tissues.
Use as part of a recovery program after intense workouts or injuries to reduce muscle soreness, speed up tissue repair and healing.
Fascial Stretch Therapy is a table-based stretch protocol lead by an FST certified therapist. FST focuses on the fascia surrounding each muscle. Using techniques such as breathing, traction and proprioceptive-neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), the goal of FST is to increase joint mobility and function. Other benefits include:

FST is a manual therapy technique that focuses on stretching and mobilizing the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and joints.
FST is performed by a trained therapist who uses specific techniques to release tension in the fascia. It involves more dynamic and controlled stretching compared to static stretching.
FST should not be painful. It is generally a gentle and relaxing therapy. However, some individuals may experience mild discomfort if they have areas of high tension or tightness.
The number of sessions needed can vary widely based on an individual's specific goals and the issues being addressed. Some people may benefit from just a few sessions, while others may choose to include FST as a regular part of their wellness routine.
Nova offers sessions that can be 30, 60 or 90 minutes in length.
Many of our clients have insurance that covers their FST session. Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific policy and the reason for seeking treatment. It's recommended to check with your insurance provider for details.
